Comment by Richard Foley on June 10, 2011 at 12:28pm Mindy, this is not just a Demo, it is a four hour learning extravaganza. Stephane is a world champion and MOF Best Craftsfman in France. The course or demo is packed with information, small group, and comments we get back is it the best they have ever been to. Weiss was promoting a brand, its chocolate. This event starts with Stephan re creating 3 top desserts, from scratch, using all kinds of ingredients, not just on brand. He teaches decorating techniques from scratch, and presents various ideas on flavoring. He then move on to creating Sugar Showpieces, teaches how to work with the sugar, color, etc, then he does an airbrush piece. Then he shows you how to create a chocolate showpiece. The various desserts are tasted and sampled, plated and entremet style. This event also gives 4 hours credit to ACF acreditation for educational training. Attendees overwhelmingly agree, well worth the money, and everyone says they would do it again and again, Stephane's reviews are outstanding. So this is not a promo demo of a brand of chocolate, that is why it is not free. We hope you can make it, as these dont come along every day. And customers of Qzina have to pay also, so dont feel bad. ...but I did not pay because I own the company...cheers...but I have suffered weight gain having been working with Stephane over the last few months, I cant believe the quality.
Comment by Mindy Fong on June 10, 2011 at 12:18pm Hi Richard,
I was really excited to see this event that you posted, so I called Qzina right away to see if I could attend. They told me it cost $150. I went a few years ago to the Weiss Demo they put on and it was FREE.
I'm thinking that they told me it cost money becuase I am not a regular customer of Qzina.....hmmm....
I'm very interested to know if you had to pay.
