The 14th Annual ChocolateFest will be held Saturday, April 4th from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Colby-Sawyer College in New London (just 1.5 hours northeast of Boston), it was announced today by Rob Bryant, Executive Director, Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce.
The event, which will take place in Wheeler Hall, Ware Campus Center at Colby-Sawyer College, features local inns, restaurants, and chocolatiers from around New Hampshire who come to showcase their delectable delights.
Participants can sample the chocolate on display and are also encouraged to submit their votes for the People's Choice Awards of "Best Chocolate" and "Best Display." Additionally a panel of judges will be on hand to bestow awards in the same categories. To date, these judges include Rick Broussard and Susan Laughlin, Editors from New Hamphsire Magazine, Laura Jen Whitcomb, Kearsage Magazine/Upper Valley Life Editor, and Darron Libby, NH To Do Editor. Last year the event attracted over 400 people.
Tickets for the event cost $10 per person. Children under 5 are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce at 603-526-6575 or toll-free at 877-526-6575. Tickets are also available at the door for check or cash only.
