While you may know me as a promoter of the Good Food Awards (www.goodfoodawards.org/confections) another passion I'm pursuing is a book for 9-11 year olds called "How to Make Smart Cookies," where kids learn about school and life by deconstructing everything about the chocolate chip cookie. It's part of a bigger project called the Chocolate Chip Cookie School, that eventually will have books for younger kids too.
The $25 reward is really fun: contributors can get cookies from their choice of bakeries from around the country (including French Broad, who's making cookies using their bean to bar chips in Asheville, NC).
I'd love to hear any thoughts and I'll be looking for interesting collaboration ideas as the book and program comes together.
Nice to "meet" / see you all!
