Hi. I just had my husband make me a vacuum forming machine for my birthday. I would like to make my own molds for my childrens' holiday chocolates.
I am a newbie, but have read tons online and in books about making chocolate molds.
Can you recommend a supplier for buying food-grade thermoplastic sheets ? And what is the correct thickness? I think I would prefer a roll and cut it myself if that is an option.
Also, what would be a good "practice" chocolate? I would prefer to save the good chocolate for when I am better at this. Do you think something like walmart chocolate chips or wilton would be good practice?
