Share 'how much square footage for a retail location?'

Hi everyone I am evaluating options for setting up a  local retail location where I can resell various lines of chocolates as well as produce my own.  I am estimating a total of 1,000 square feet, with only about 200 of that for kitchen facilities. I would love to hear any feedback about space requirements for production and storefront in a retail (street front) location. Thanks Dione
