yes I did actually see this fermentation pile. It was stripped of the placenta and very clean. It had also been placed first on a screen/bucket to partially drain off. A bootleg liquor was made from the juice and it was kickass.

Interesting photo Melanie. Thank you for posting it. Did you see this pile completed? I am interested to know if the heap was cleaned up (leaves and other foreign material removed, placentas fully stripped from bean etc).
