Comment by The Chocolate Bordello on February 28, 2012 at 8:34pm Hello Clay! Minnie Colwell lived in Breckenridge, CO. She was a popular madam along the road to the Wellington mine. It is said that she agreed to sell her house to a family with seven children. Before the sale was complete, the husband died of the flu. After the funeral, Minnie quietly presented the deed of the house to the destitute widow without asking a penny. It is unlikely the merciful Minnie was ever publicly thanked. We’ve given her homage in the form of a fine chocolate ‘home’ brushed in gold. Her make-up: Dark dense chocolate, with rum and hazelnut under a gold-dusted dark chocolate “roof”
