Comment by Eve on July 12, 2009 at 11:49pm: The Grand Opening went very well. It took three of us to keep up with the crowd during the day - and people loved the decor! Hundreds of guests came to the party, which spilled out onto the street even though we cleaned and set up the storage and shipping areas at the back of the shop. The chocolate fountain is always a hit, but we also served turkey mole, tiny chocolate cheesecakes, little chocolate croissants and very good wine.

Today went well too, with groups and individuals coming in steadily all day, though it wasn't a constant rush like yesterday. Still, it was busy enough to keep me from cleaning the back room until 3 PM, even though there were two of us in the front. People sat in the living room drinking hot chocolate all afternoon.
