Looks like my backyard cacao in Manila. It was ripe at green and I was waiting for it to grow further but when I cut it open, the seeds were starting to germinate!

Hector - the reason I ask is that this is a photo of a fully-grown example of the wild cacao of the Beni. There's not that much difference in size.

Hi Clay I mention it is a cocoa Arriba, this is due to lack of water in the plantations, and cold season affects the development of ears.
