Most memorable chocolate experience:
Even though having been eating chocolate for quite a while already, living in the Amazone region of Ecuador for a couple of years introduced me to the cocoa - growing it, harvesting, fermentation and the following production process. But also to the social and economical background!
That's where I started to get involved and, together with the APPOS, an association of small-scale farmers, we started to transform the cocoa.
So, the most memorable single experience is surely having draunk the first cup of hot chocolate, made from the beans we had harvested and worked on before by ourselves!
My favorite chocolate is:
