There are many, many memories associated with chocolate. Here is one: I was making a fancy dinner for friends, with chocolate fondue for dessert. We thought that by melting chocolate over a Sterno, we could dip the fruit and other goodies in it, which in and of itself, wasn't a bad idea. The problem arose when someone got the bright idea to add Grand Marnier to the melted chocolate.Of course, it seized irretrievably and everyone got mad at me. Clearly they hadn't had enough wine that night. Live and learn.
