It's a pleasure to be a member of this network!
My name is Anna Franceschini and I'm the International Relations & Fair Marketing Officer of Eurochocolate,the most important italian chocolate festival, that take place every year in Perugia city.( 16th -25th october 2009)
Most of 130 company joint every year the event, with a 1.000.000. of visitors, and a special section , called Eurochocolate world, is fully dedicated to FairTrade chocolate, supported by Icco and FairTrade Italy.
This year once again i'm going to organize the second edition of the International Summit " In the HeartH of Chocolate" 21 october, that will host the main representative actors of cocoa and chocolate world, as FairTradeItaly, Icco, Equoland, Caobisco, and more, to debate about the main themes at the "heart" of cocoa world.
The 4 themes section will be:
Heart: social accountability and human rights,
Earth:enviromental preservation and susteinable development,
Art: creativity innovation and fun;
Hear: information and customare care.
I'm looking for Ong, University, Company that wuold joint the Summit to present their chocolate experience, their ethical projects for African cocoa villages or latin American cocoa Village on project or to help this community.
Last year we hosted for example an innovative Project to make bio-fuel with cocoa beans managered by Andy Pag, UK.and this year we hope to receive the visti of Howard Shafiro of Mars research to present his important project on Mars.
I would invite everyone involved in fair chocolate projects or has innovate project to improve taste quality and knowledge about chocolate.
