Corinne C. DeBra replied to Keith Ayoob's discussion How much chocolate do you eat per day, on average?
"I eat a little more than 1 oz. a day -- it doesn't take much to feel satisfied with really great chocolate. One pound a day would be too much for me to really enjoy. My cacao excess if of a different sort. I've been eating a different kind…"

Corinne C. DeBra replied to Clay Gordon's discussion How Are You Making These Holidays Special with Chocolate?
"For those on the (U.S.) East Coast, I'm sure Spring (this Saturday, March 20) can't come soon enough this year. I've been spending the last week of Winter (out here in California, where it's been merely wet, and not so cold)…"

Corinne C. DeBra replied to Clay Gordon's discussion What are your favorite adult beverages to pair with chocolates?
"Short answer: bourbon and single malt scotch, in that order - Kentucky bourbon chocolates (great base for a winter hot milk/chocolate beverage), from Louisville, KY - Devil in an Apron's Chocolate pecan pie with bourbon, from CA -…"

Most memorable chocolate experience:
Eating a different chocolate every day for the past 1,000+ days.
I've enjoyed sampling chocolate items while traveling, including a small dog-shaped "black" chocolate in China, and cocao pod fruit in Costa Rica. Chocolate-covered grubs were not my favorites. I'm creating a chocolate "spin the wheel" to pick a random companion flavor to mix w/ dark chocolate, from a list of a few thousand choices; I'll put this on my blog.
My favorite chocolate is:

Hi Corinne,
There definitely are some amazing dairy-free chocolates out there. They let the cocoa shine with few distractions. I am working on a website to showcase all the wrappers and my take on their tastes, appearance, etc. But my current fave is Mast Chocolate in Fleur de Sel 81% (though I haven't had anything from Mast that wasn't amazing). Michel Cluzel Los Ancones is another recent favorite. And Schardden Berger's 99% is a go-to for an everyday fix. :)

Wow 842+ days without respite? I have been trying new dairy-less chocolates for a year and a half, but I def take days off when I find myself wanting chocolate for every meal!
