Adventures of the Chocolate Making Rookie
First, I'd like to say that I've NEVER thought of myself as the chef or domestic "type." My [once] favorite cookbook was called, "I do...not cook." I, of course, have not cooked anything from it. However, one day I read a fascinating article in Conde Nast magazine about how "Scharffen Berger" got its start. The aspect of the article that most intrigued me was this...John Scharffenberger began crafting his chocolate in his kitchen -- with a coffee grinder. Thus, perhaps it's my sheer naïveté that led me to believe that I too can get my start in my own kitchen.
