- Most memorable chocolate experience:
- Visiting Eladio Pop's cacao farm in San Pedro Columbia, Belize, to scope out a new trip for Cotton Tree Lodge. After touring Eladio's farm, Chris Crowell and I hiked back into the bush (led by Eladio's 9 and 11 year old daughters) and several miles later, found Chris's expat filmmaker friends from NYC who were living on the edge of a river with no electricity and trying to farm. They made us fresh coffee with homemade, organic chocolate scraped in. Incredible!
