This is a tough one - I have narrowed it down to two: I am not only a lover of chocolate, but I try to cook everything and anything w/chocolate. 12 years ago I first heard about The Trellis restaurant that served "Death by CHocolate", it took me until last year but we planned a whole family trip around visiting this restaurant and getting the slice of heaven for myself. I did reluctantly share only because the button on my pants was dangerously close to shooting across the room. Second, but hardly a second is Jacques Torres in Brooklyn, NY, yes i tried a sampling of the truffles and was impressed, but the chocolate chip cookies the size of my head were worth hiding from my two children and making up a terrible lie so I could savor them alone (they wouldn't understand).
