Some truly patient and lovely people in Germany not only interpreted my English emails and agreed to ship me their chocolate bars at considerable effort, but went out of their way to include a special Easter edition of the bar in the box they sent me. That the chocolate was rich and delicious was delightful, but what means even more to me is their thoughtful gesture. I've had many great chocolate experiences, but this was the best.
My favorite chocolate is:
Pralus Le 100%, Bonnat 100%, Rapunzel 85%, Theo 91%, South Devon Chilli Farm Peppermint Chilli Chocolate, Vivani 85%, Equal Exchange Mint, Endangered Species Cranberry Almond

Welcome to The Chocolate Life. I love your story about the help you received in purchasing chocolate from Germany. I talk a little bit about a similar experience visiting a chocolate shop in Paris (a l'Etoile d'Or) and getting help from other customers in the shop translating for the shop owner (Denise Acabo) and me. Not sure how far east in Washington you are but I used to go to school in Olympia and spent part of a summer working apples in Wenatchee. :: Clay
