The only thing more important to me than chocolate (okay, and my family) is being warm. Being from Southern California, I find living in New England a bit of a struggle, temperature-wise, from October to May. And with the high cost of heating oil, being warm is becoming more expensive. My husband, luckily for me, is an energy auditor. He goes to people's homes and discovers how leaky they are with a blower door test and with infrared technology. Then he tells them how to fix their air infiltration problems or can do it for them. Usually the "fixing" pays for itself over time and while that's happening, you get to live in a warmer house.
