Welcome to The Chocolate Life. There is a sizable ex-pat French community where I live, large enough to support a Parisian-style cheese shop. The only chocolate they sell? Cote d'Or. I asked them why and they said it's because their French customers liked something that reminded them of home and was inexpensive. They bring back their favorite confections on their return from trips back home to France.
