Art, it has been often commented, is supported by a scaffold of discourse - in the same way in this century wine, food, fashion and of course chocolate has been. What happens when the scaffold is removed? What is left? With chocolate at least we have something to eat.
With “Schokolade in der… Continue

The chocolate sculptural canvas begins with the chocolate block. 6 sculptures are broken down, melted and reformed into four blocks.
These are the building blocks, the canvas, now the palimpsest of the chocolate sculptures. They too are photographed out of doors.
There is a completion of the circle of my sculpture’s creation and a return to the simplicity of texture, form and…

...from Zester Daily
The electric green and pink box contained a candy bar like nothing I'd ever seen: a green tea and cherry blossom Kit Kat bar from Japan. This exotic gift came courtesy of my friend Susan Heeger, who had recently returned from a trip to the island nation. I marveled at the package and its contents: How could the Kit Kat inside the box, with its cherry blossom wrapper and its playful… Continue

o.k, maybe it's sort of like the rush you get when you're dating, or maybe it's just the fun of trying new things just because you can. I love trying new recipes. I even try new recipes when I have a party, to see what people think of it.
So, given this great opportunity, I had the feeling that other people who like that same adrenalin rush of learning new thing, creating and sharing, might want to have the chance to share it. Sometimes people just need that first break to get started: at… Continue

What's the best chocolate ice cream?
One of my favorites (though not too fancy) is Bryers Vanilla Fudge Swirl. But I haven't been able to find it lately.
How about the best hot chocolate?

More than 600 purveyors of gourmet foods sought the attention of buyers, brokers, shopkeepers, party planners and journalists this month at the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco. And plenty of them were stretching the definition of "gourmet."
Retail shops and supermarkets from around the country sent their buyers on a mission of taste to this semiannual trade show Jan. 17-19, sponsored by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade. Among the products they encountered: a… Continue
