I had a dinner at chocolatier Alfred Schilling, now closed haute-cuisine restaurant in San Francisco. I had a Tannat from Cahors with my meal and it was wine-chocolate magic.
My favorite chocolate is:
Amadei and my wife's brownies - Fairytale

Yay for Fairytale Brownies! I discovered them at the NYC Choc show many years ago and posted the brochure on my pics page- ck it out! Really delicious and combine my fav things- choc and faeries.....
Tannat is not a very well known wine but I happen to agree with you that it is often wine/chocolate magic. My first taste was this past summer when staying in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It made a good dessert very special. I look forward to hearing more of your pairing favorites (in fact there is a forum thread on this very subject).

What good chocolate dessert will be good with Tannat? I have never had Tannat but I want to get a bottle to try with dessert.
